STUDI BUDAYA PARTISIPATORIS DALAM ROLEPLAY TWITTER
Abstract
Kegiatan kepenggemaran pada zaman ini bertransformasi dari yang sebelumnya sekadar mengkonsumsi menjadi sebuah kegiatan yang juga membesarkan objek kepenggemaran tersebut. Hal ini akrab disebut budaya partisipatoris. Budaya ini mudah ditemukan pada kalangan penggemar K-Pop. Mereka menjalin hubungan parasosial berkat manipulasi relasi sosial yang dilakukan oleh agensi K-Pop. Dengan ini mereka membentuk budaya partisipatoris yang unik di mana mereka merasa tanggung jawab terhadap kesuksesan idol mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan relasi antara penggemar dan idol dengan objek penggemar boyband Seventeen. Peneliti menggunakan kerangka teori hubungan parasosial dan budaya partisipatoris, serta metode penelitian netnografi. Penelitian ini menemukan adanya bentuk relasi resiprositas antara penggemar dan idol yang tidak hanya mengkonsumsi tetapi juga membesarkan nama idol dan mengartikulasikannya lebih lanjut.
