This trend is driven by the development of financial technology (fintech), which facilitates easier access to investments for younger generations. One prominent fintech platform is Bibit, which became the most popular mutual fund investment application in Indonesia in 2021. Generation Z, aged 19–25, is highly active on social media, including TikTok, which Bibit utilizes as a primary marketing platform. This study aims to analyze the influence of Bibit’s advertising exposure on TikTok on Generation Z’s investment interest in Banda Aceh. The AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, and Action) model is used as the analytical framework. This study employs an explanatory quantitative approach using a survey method, distributing online questionnaires. The research sample consists of 100 respondents selected through accidental sampling based on the Slovin formula. Data analysis is conducted using simple linear regression and t-tests. The results indicate that the t-value is greater than the t-table value (5.404 > 1.660), with a coefficient of determination of 0.230, meaning that Bibit’s advertising exposure on TikTok contributes 23% to investment interest. Thus, it can be concluded that Bibit’s advertising exposure on TikTok has a positive and significant influence on Generation Z’s investment interest in Banda Aceh.
Fitri Ramadina Rizanna Rosemary Febri Nurrahmi Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Komunikasi & Media Digital 2025-06-30 2025-06-30 3 1 1 13 10.70611/jkmd.v3i1.53 WASTE NOT, WANT NOT: THE ECO-INITIATIVE EMPOWERING NATUNA'S COMMUNITIES THROUGH SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES //journal.universitaspertamina.ac.id/jkmd/article/view/55
This study explores the initiatives undertaken by the Kehati and Natuna Environmental Community to transform waste into valuable resources. Amidst the growing environmental challenges due to waste accumulation, this community has taken proactive steps to mitigate negative impacts and shift public perception of waste. Employing a qualitative approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews with the founders of the Kehati Community and participatory observations. Through the diffusion of innovations, the community engaged several district and sub-district parties to implement various innovative programs such as recycling, eco-enzyme production, and transforming waste into eco-bricks and handicrafts. These programs help reduce waste volume and provide economic value to the local community. The study's findings also identify challenges in program development, including limited human resources for marketing recycled products, low youth participation in the community, the public's view that recycled products are sold too expensively, and the need for more intensive education to change public behaviour. The implications of this research highlight the importance of support from the government and related institutions to strengthen and expand waste management programs. Additionally, it underscores the necessity of collaboration between the community, government, and youth to create a more sustainable environment in Natuna.
Ita Hanika Sri Wulandari Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Komunikasi & Media Digital 2025-06-30 2025-06-30 3 1 14 30 10.70611/jkmd.v3i1.55 PERENCANAAN KOMUNIKASI KRISIS UMKM: STUDI KASUS RAIN DISTRICT PADA PLATFORM GOOGLE MAPS //journal.universitaspertamina.ac.id/jkmd/article/view/56
Nasywa Athaya Fakhira Saffana Khalista Nurisnina Andika Rizki Hadiana Putra Kania Syifa Maulida Maudyandra Chairunnisa Enden Darjatul Ulya Khalila Zahra Maharani Velentina Setiawan Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Komunikasi & Media Digital 2025-06-30 2025-06-30 3 1 31 43 10.70611/jkmd.v3i1.56 DEEPFAKE DAN DISTORSI RUANG PUBLIK DIGITAL: ANALISIS TEORI PUBLIC SPHERE JURGEN HABERMAS //journal.universitaspertamina.ac.id/jkmd/article/view/52
This study analyzes the impact of deepfake technology on the digital public sphere through Jurgen Habermas' public sphere theory. Deepfake, an AI-driven manipulation tool, enables hyper-realistic yet deceptive videos, leading to misinformation, political propaganda, and privacy violations. Social media, particularly YouTube, has become a key platform for the spread of deepfake content, distorting rational discourse and eroding public trust. Using a qualitative, descriptive-analytical approach, this research examines how deepfake disrupts digital communication and challenge the principles of an open public sphere. The findings emphasize the urgent need for digital literacy, regulatory frameworks, and AI-powered detection systems to mitigate its negative impacts. Strengthening awareness and institutional responses is crucial in maintaining a transparent and credible digital public sphere. This study contributes to discussions on media ethics, communication strategies, and policymaking to counteract the risks posed by deepfake technology.
Muhammad Albar Nagara Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Komunikasi & Media Digital 2025-06-30 2025-06-30 3 1 44 52 10.70611/jkmd.v3i1.52 STRATEGI KOMUNIKASI IMAGE RESTORATION MANTAN NARAPIDANA KASUS NARKOBA DI MASYARAKAT KECAMATAN KEMBANGAN //journal.universitaspertamina.ac.id/jkmd/article/view/51
This research focuses on communication strategies for the image restoration of former drug convicts within their families and communities. The study employs a constructivist paradigm with a qualitative approach and descriptive method. A phenomenological perspective is applied, integrating data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. Data validation is conducted through triangulation, while data analysis follows the Miles and Huberman technique. The findings reveal that image restoration strategies among former drug convicts are effectively implemented by applying William Benoit's theory of image restoration, which consists of five strategic approaches. The results demonstrate that these strategies contribute significantly to rebuilding public trust within the Kembangan District community. Among these, "Reducing Offensiveness" and "Corrective Action" emerge as the most crucial strategies. Through honesty (Reducing Offensiveness), sincere remorse (Reducing Offensiveness), and concrete change-oriented actions (Corrective Action), former drug convicts can successfully rehabilitate their damaged public image.
Sandy Saputra Ardan Achmad Cakraningsih Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Komunikasi & Media Digital 2025-06-30 2025-06-30 3 1 53 61 10.70611/jkmd.v3i1.51
